Worship at Bluff Park United Methodist ChurchWorship is central to the life of Bluff Park United Methodist Church. We have many opportunities each week to come together and praise God, strengthen our faith, and connect with one another.

Sunday Morning Worship: 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

Every Sunday morning we gather together in the main Sanctuary to worship God with a traditional emphasis. We believe that God will meet us and guide us when we gather in His name. The main Sanctuary at Bluff Park is a beautiful space designed to direct our attention to the beauty of the living God in our midst. The Sanctuary is surrounded by pictorial stained glass windows the bring the stories of the Bible to life and the church choir and pipe organ (which was once housed at McCoy Methodist Church in downtown Birmingham) lead us in songs of praise to our God.

Our worship style is traditional, yet relaxed. There is a children’s moment and children’s church for the kids and a nursery is also available for families with small children.

Sunday Evening Worship: 5:00 p.m.

Sunday Evening Worship in the Chapel at Bluff Park is a weekly celebration of Holy Communion. We also make a conscious effort to connect ourselves with the global church as we read all four Scripture texts assigned by the Revised Common Lectionary. The lectionary is a grouping of biblical texts which covers the majority of the Bible over a three year cycle, and Christians throughout the world read and study these same texts each Sunday. A nursery is provided for families with small children.

Wednesday Evening Student Worship: 6:30 p.m.

On Wednesday evenings during the school year the Student Ministries at Bluff Park leads ‘Holy Ground’ worship in the youth wing. This is a special time of sharing, singing, and prayer for the youth of Bluff Park. Visit the Holy Ground page for more information.
