Happy birthday, church. On Pentecost, God’s Holy Spirit was poured out on all believers and the church was born. This is the same Holy Spirit that is given to us today. You were not gifted the Holy Spirit to continue living life on your own. God has been holding the church in his hands since he founded it, and we are to live boldly knowing he continues to hold us. We are called, in the Spirit of God, to BE the church – the hands and feet of Jesus in this world.
