In the second season of Table Talk with Mike and Angela, we explore Being United Methodist in the Bible Belt by looking at F. Belton Joyner, Jr.’s important book by the same name. The goal is to help United Methodist Christians understand what is unique and distinct about the denomination as well as what unites us with other Christian denominations in the worldwide Christian family. During this four-week series, we will look through several core beliefs and practices of United Methodism and help all people to appreciate the importance of faith, grace, love, and action within the Christian life.
On today’s podcast, Mike and Angela finish discussing Joyner’s book Being United Methodist in the Bible Belt with a conversation about “works of mercy” and how God’s grace works through our holy activities of loving and serving our neighbors. They also spend a little time talking about how United Methodists relate to other Christians around the world.
