Welcome!

Our Sunday School classes gather in between our two services with multiple classes for various life stages offered. Characterized by deep friendships, formative conversations, and a deep sense of mission, these are a great way to become rooted at Bluff Park UMC.

Sunday School Classes

We have a variety of adult Sunday School classes with a wide range of ages, topics, and formats. Whether you are married or single, divorced or separated, have kids or not, are retired or just entering into adult life, we have a place for you. Look through the class descriptions below to begin your search for a class that fits you.

Classes meet each Sunday morning before 10:00AM worship, with most gathering around 9:00AM. Locations are listed below with each class. If you have any questions before your visit, fill out the contact form below, or visit our front desk when you arrive.

The Lord's Supper

Meets in Room 268
This class is a community of 30 to 40-something believers and followers of Jesus! They fellowship together, pray for and over each other, and joyfully do this thing called life together.

Faith Builders

Meets in Room 370
This class is comprised of older young couples and younger middle-aged couples. They rotate teaching in discussion-based learning and are very active in missions.

Cornerstone

Meets in Room 134
This class is made up of singles, married couples, divorced and “half couples,” and studies modern Christianity and how to apply it to our lives in our crazy world.

Seekers

Meets in Room 265
This larger class is made up of couples and singles in their 60’s and 70’s. They rotate teaching responsibilities and lessons are mainly discussion-based. They are very active in missions and service.

Faith

Meets in Holy Ground on 1st Floor
This class consists of anyone and everyone ages 50+. They use rotating teachers and cover a variety of topics in both lecture and discussion formats.

New Vision

Meets in Room 264
This smaller class for ages 50+ follows a discussion format on a wide range of topics depending upon the interests of the class. Members rotate teaching responsibilities.

Covenant

Meets in Room 264
This larger class is comprised of folks in their 60’s and 70’s. The class is taught by members of the class, and the primary format is lecture-style with some discussion.

Friendship

Meets in Room 270
This larger class consists of both couples and singles ages 60+. They have lecture-style teaching and enjoy monthly fellowship meals.

Wesley Forum

Meets in Room 272
This class is comprised of people who are 55+ and who enjoy discussions on contemporary issues in Christianity and in the world. They enjoy periodic socials.

Fishermen

Meets in Fireside Room on 1st Floor
This class for those ages 65+ features lessons based on the Adult Bible Studies literature and taught by rotating teachers. Class members are active in mission work and host regular socials.

Canterbury

Meets in Room 237
This larger class for ages 60+ enjoys singing old hymns and gospel songs. Lectures cover a variety of topics and the class supports a number of mission projects.
