At BPUMC Kids, our goal is to help children from infancy through 5th grade learn who God is, how much God loves them, how they can have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, how they can grow in that relationship, and how they can share the love of God with others.

We have Sunday School every Sunday at 9:00AM, Children's Church every Sunday during 10:00AM worship, and Midweek Meetup every Wednesday at 5:30PM. Check out our upcoming events or sign up for our newsletter for more information, and we'll see you soon!

We have a Child Protection First Policy in place and require a background check and child safety training for all volunteer and paid staff who work with our children.

The Camp on the Bluff will be held on June 12-15, and each day starts at 9am with their first camp session. At 10:30am they will break for a quick snack and fun bible lesson with Mr Stanley. At 11am they head back for their second session before breaking for lunch at 12. Lunch will be 12pm-12:30pm and pick up will be at 1pm. The cost of Camp on the Bluff is $40 per student. Early drop off (starting at 7:30) and Extended Care (ending at 4pm) is available to those that register. The cost is $10 for the week. Info about Early Drop Off and Extended Care is below. PLEASE NOTE: NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN

Early drop off starts each day at 7:30am. We typically just hang out and play in the gym while waiting for the other campers. If you’d like to send them with a grab-and-go breakfast you can.
Extended care will be from 1pm-4pm. During this time we usually play in the gym and/or go to a class and watch a movie. We will provide our extended care kids with an additional snack each day.
The cost is $10 for the whole week.
We need to be sure we have enough staff and snacks for the week so please let us know if your camper will be with us each day.

Science Camp gives kids an opportunity to learn through experimentation and creativity. More info including the theme of Science Camp will be emailed to you prior to the week of camp.

Come learn and practice the basics of cooking, and end each day by eating the food that you have cooked!

During Soccer Camp at Camp On The Bluff we are going to be working everyday on a few different technical and tactical aspects of the game. Coaches JT and Becca Mercer are both experienced soccer coaches and they love to share their passion for the game with kids. We believe all levels of players (beginners to more advanced) will be able to learn something and have a fun time at camp!

Gardening Camp, where we learn about plants, soil, and bugs, while we harvest, eat, and use nature in crafts.

Sign up here to be placed on the Camp on the Bluff waiting list. Spots will be given away in the order that they were requested (using a timestamp.) If someone cancels you will be contacted. You can email to check on the status of the waiting list at mendon@bpumc.org. You can sign your child up for any camps waiting list even if they are already registered for another camp.

We will only be collecting your child(ren)'s name and grade along with your email address at this time. Once ALL registrations are closed, you will be sent a new link to do a complete registration and make a payment. You will be given a deadline to complete the registration and payment. If you do not do this within the deadline, your spot will be given to the next person in line on the waitlist.

More About Our Programs

A Nursery is provided every Sunday for all kids ages six weeks to 4K. The nursery will open at 8:45 am and will be open until after both of our worship services end at 11:00. Be sure to sign your little ones in so we can be sure we have all of the important allergy and contact information on hand. Also be sure to label bottles, sippy cups, and other personal things!

Preschool Sunday School

Preschool Sunday School is every Sunday 9:00am-10:00am. Ms. Marcie will have a lesson just for our preschool kids 2k-4k. Preschoolers signed into the nursery for the morning will automatically attend.

Elementary Sunday School

Elementary Sunday School is every Sunday 9:00am-10:00am. Mr Stanley will have a fun lesson prepared for our rising kindergarten through 5th graders!

Children's Church

Children's Church meets every Sunday morning (except for the 1st Sunday of the month) for Kindergarten-5th grade! Kids who would like to attend are taken to Children's Church about 15 minutes into each worship service. Children who attend will experience a worship service geared towards them at their age level that includes prayer, offering, and a children's sermon.

Midweek Meetup

Midweek Meetup takes place every Wednesday during the school year from 5:30-7:30pm. During the evening the kids will have a $2 dinner, choir practice, grade-level Bible study, and recreation time. Once a month we also have Wild Wednesdays, which are special Midweek Meetups that are meant for kids to just come have fun!

Child Safety Policies

Bluff Park United Methodist Church believes that all persons are significant to the growth of God’s kingdom and should have opportunity to worship, learn, and serve in various capacities to ensure personal growth and growth of others. We seek to provide an environment that is physically, emotionally and spiritually safe for all persons who enter our doors, especially children and youth. It is our goal to be a “Safe Sanctuary” where we can work hand-in-hand growing our children and youth in their faith and a life devoted to Christ.

This document contains theological foundations, definitions of child abuse, and policies/procedures related to prevention, response, and reporting.
