Easter at Bluff Park United Methodist Church is a time of celebration as we venture through Holy Week. Jesus washes our feet at our Maundy Thursday "Mandate" Service. A powerful Good Friday Tenebrae Service of Darkness follows, and on Easter Sunday we worship the risen Christ as he defeats death and points us toward eternal life.

Guided Labyrinth Walk

Join Rev. Kay Mutert on Tuesday as she guides us through the spiritual gateway that is the Labyrinth. The Labyrinth’s power to guide us toward God is noteworthy and should be a part of every Christian’s spiritual toolbox. Join us at 12:00 noon as we journey together! No registration required.

Maundy Thursday Service - 6:30pm

Maundy means “Mandate” and it is the theme of the Thursday before Easter in the Christian tradition. In our Maundy Thursday service we remember and meditate upon the words and actions of Christ in the last supper. Christ washes the feet of the disciples and sets the stage for the “upside down kingdom of God.”

Good Friday Service - 7:00pm

On Good Friday we remember the death of Christ and the darkness it brings the disciples before they understand Christ will be resurrected. Our dramatic Tenebrae (Latin for “shadows”) service helps worshipers understand the darkness that God in Christ overcame and keeps at bay; and the darkness we all feel at times.

Easter Love Offering

In the spirit of Easter, BPUMC has the opportunity to bless the West End community. What’s left from last year’s Easter Love Offering gift will begin a new project for another young family. Let’s help them finish the job. Having witnessed the fruits of last year’s gift, we invite you to give again to the work of WE Build for this year’s United Appeal Fund Easter Love Offering.
