As Jesus entered Jerusalem on the day we call Palm Sunday, people greeted him waving palm branches and casting their coats on the ground before him. That was an expensive garment, and most people would only own one. It was an important garment, offering protection and also indicating status. But, the people welcoming Jesus placed this important garment on the road in front of him. All of us need to lay down the most important things in our life before Jesus and welcome into our lives as our King.
