BRIEF DESCRIBE YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Organize events, communications, purchasing, volunteer coordinating, maintaining attendance records and basically anything Youth and Children’s Ministry may need.

WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND? After getting my Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management in 1999, I became a merchandise manager for Macy’s for several years.  My cousin had a non-profit; Fresh Air Family so I left Macy’s and went to work for her.  I started as a PA and moved on to grant research, payroll, and basic bookkeeping, as well as state and federal grant reporting and event planning. Once the funding for my job position ran out, I decided to stay home with my kids for a while. The month after I left, Leigh Delashaw asked me to be a summer intern at BPUMC and I never left. Over the years my job title and responsibilities have changed to what it is today.  

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR JOB? Watching these amazing kids become amazing adults!

TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAMILY: My husband and I will have been married for 24 years in November of 2020. We have 4 children. I have a 27-year-old son who is married, a 19-year-old daughter who goes to Jeff State and is studying to be a mortician, a 13-year-old son in the 8th grade, and I have my sweet niece who is 14 and in the 9th grade.  

FAVORITE THING TO DO AWAY FROM WORK? Netflix and Relax!
