BRIEFLY DESCRIBE YOUR JOB:  I work closely with and provide logistical support to the Adult Ministry Council, the Missions Committee, and BPUMC’s care and concern ministry.

WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND?  I’m retired after a fun and rewarding career as: 1) a Cooperative Extension Service food science faculty member at Auburn University and the University of Georgia, 2) a food editor for Southern Living magazine and an associate editor at Progressive Farmer magazine, and 3) the creator and CEO of an international non-profit that taught home and agricultural safety to children. My BPUMC job allows me to continue doing what I love.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR JOB? The people I work with and the events that I help plan and execute! I have always enjoyed bringing people together and providing them with the resources they need to get to know each other and to do good works!

TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAMILY: I married later in life to someone I’ve known since 1975. Vin is a retired university professor who taught marriage and family studies and educational psychology at the University of Alabama and Coastal Carolina University.

FAVORITE THING TO DO AWAY FROM WORK?  I love spending time with my husband’s three children and nine grandchildren. I also enjoy getting out in nature, meeting people, and exploring new cultures and sites!
